FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Financial aid consists of funds (scholarships, grants, loans, work-study) provided to students and families to help pay for postsecondary educational expenses.

The FAFSA application is available on October 1 for the next school year. We encourage you to fill it out as soon as possible on or after October 1 to meet FAFSA deadlines.

This is a critical application for graduating seniors to seek and obtain future financial aid packages through their future college/career/ technical school. Check with the college or university you would like to attend. School deadlines are usually early in the year, often in February or March, although some are even earlier.
This document is used to help you keep track of your FSA ID's for both students and parents. This document also list all the items/documents need to complete the FAFSA application.
This document gives insight on student aid, federal aid, and merit-based aid and how it's awarded to students who meet requirements not related to financial needs — such as academic excellence in high school or displaying artistic or athletic talent.
