Clemson Career Workshop (CCW)
The Clemson Career Workshop is a week-long summer residential program that allows high achieving rising seniors to get an inside look into Clemson University, while also learning college preparation tools.  For more information and to apply, visit https://www.clemson.edu/clemsoncareerworkshop. Summer Work for Teens at Cowpens National Battlefield
Cowpens National Battlefield is accepting applications for the Youth Conservation Corps.  For eight weeks, local students will work and play at the NPS sites with Youth Conservation Corps (YCC). As members of the YCC, the students have a personal role in protecting the nation’s precious resources during this summer program. Applicants must be a permanent resident of the United States, have a Social Security card, a willingness to work outdoors and the ability to work well with others. Those chosen for employment will be paid minimum wage for a 40-hour workweek and must be available to work from June 8– July 31, 2020, without vacations. Applications are available at Cowpens NB Visitor Center, located at 4001 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Perry Outreach Program at Clemson University
The Perry Outreach Program at Clemson University on Saturday, May 16th, is a FREE one-day, hands-on experience for women in grades 10 and up with an expressed interest in science, medicine, and/or engineering.  Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments. Columbia College Junior Scholar Program 
Attention: Any JUNIOR FEMALE interested in attending Columbia College in SC should see Mrs. Clary in Guidance, to determine if you are eligible for the Columbia College Junior Scholar Program Award. You should also have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be in the top 25% of the junior class. DEADLINE: April 22, 2020
 
Converse College Junior Scholars Program
ATTENTION:  Any JUNIOR interested in attending Converse College in Spartanburg, SC, should see Mrs. Clary in Guidance to determine if you are eligible for the Converse College Junior Scholar Award.  You must be ambitious, creative, and eager.  You should also have a 3.5 GPA or higher.  Converse College is now transitioning to co-ed, so male students may also apply! Junior Leadership Spartanburg
The Spartanburg Junior Leadership Program is accepting nominations for the 2020-2021 school year.  This leadership program teaches juniors more about Spartanburg County and the issues facing our community.  Broome can have only two participants in the program and will pay the fee for the program if you are selected.  INTERESTED RISING JUNIORS, who want to enhance their leadership skills and are interested in being selected, need to come to Guidance to get an application.  DEADLINE: RETURN APPLICATIONS TO MRS. Packaging School

Explorer Post 203
The Spartanburg County Public Safety Explorer Post 203 is currently accepting applications for membership through October 3, 2020. Post 203 is a Boy Scouts of America oriented post sponsored by both the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office and the North Spartanburg Fire District. In an effort to better supply our community with future emergency responders, in all fields, the post seeks eager teens age 14 to 19 potentially interested in a career as an emergency responder. Interested applicant should complete an interest form found on the North Spartanburg Fire District website, http://www.nsafd.org.  Explorers are exposed to basic versions of law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical training coupled with leadership, productive community member, and service oriented training courses. Post 203 meets on Saturdays at the North Spartanburg Fire Department Station 1. Interested applicants should go to the North Spartanburg Fire Department web page http://www.nsafd.org and find the interest form under the Explorer Post 203 Tab on the home page.
