Jostens Senior Orders
In order to guarantee all cap and gown orders will be delivered on time at the spring delivery, Jostens asks that all orders be submitted either online (www.jostens.org), by phone (864-574-3518 Ext3), or in their office 
by December 1, 2020.

SMC Fall Enrollment Days
Seniors interested in attending SMC in the fall can sign up for one of two Fall Enrollment Days, Thursday, November 19th and Saturday, November 21st.  Representatives will walk you through their FREE application process and help you complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Register at https://connect.smcsc.edu/portal/enrollment-day?_ga=2.246304269.880219741.1604337105-1923036959.1546880301

ASVAB
The ASVAB has been rescheduled for Monday, November 23rd.  If you were previously scheduled to take the ASVAB, you do not need to sign up again.  Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students interested in taking the ASVAB assessment should come to Guidance to sign up before Monday, November 23rd.  This assessment WILL NOT be used to recruit for the military, but will give you knowledge about what careers you may qualify for.  

Universal Technical Institute
Universal Technical Institute is hosting two virtual events to support those who are interested in the automotive, diesel, CNC, motorsports, collision, motorcycle, marine, or welding fields.  The first event is Saturday, November 14th and the second event is Thursday, November 19th.  See attached flyer for details.  Universal Technical Institute Flyer.pdf  

10th Grade Pre-ACT & PSAT Form
This is a reminder for all 10th grade students to turn in their Pre-ACT/PSAT letter to Guidance.  

11th Grade and/or 3rd Year Students Taking ACT or SAT
All 3rd year students taking the state funded FREE ACT or SAT need to return their signed form by Friday, November 20th.  

SC Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities
The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities is a tuition-free residential high school in Greenville.  They offer young artists the opportunity to receive pre-professional arts training along with a nationally recognized high school education.  Virtual Information Sessions are offered for their five art areas:  Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Arts.  If you would like to set up a virtual meeting contact [email protected] or call 864-282-3713. Clemson University’s Fall Open House for Healthcare

C-CATS-Clemson’s Challenge for Academically Talented Students
C-CATS, Clemson’s Challenge for Academically Talented Students, is a weekend retreat designed specifically for high-achieving 9th and 10th grade students. To be considered for the C-CATS program, students must be in the top 10% of their class and an academic record that predicts a score of 1300 or higher on the SAT.  Students must be nominated by their Guidance Counselor.  There is a cost of $300.  The C-CATS weekend sessions are in high demand and fill up quickly.  Come to Guidance for a brochure, visit www.c-cats.org, or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cuccats for details.
