crowd_croppedOn Wednesday, March 14, Broome students, many dressed in burgundy and white, gathered at the flag pole in the courtyard to remember the students and faculty lost in the recent tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida and the 2016 tragedy at Townville Elementary School in South Carolina. Student government leaders read the names of the victims and released a burgundy balloon for each Stoneman Douglas High School victim and a Batman/Super Heroes balloon for the first grade victim at Townville Elementary.

Principal Rodney Graves concluded the memorial ceremony by asking Broome students to join hands as they paused for a moment of silence.

Balloons released in memory of victims.
