Sprouse Named Head Girls' Basketball Coach

sprouse2Sally Sprouse has been named head coach of the Broome High School (BHS) girls’ varsity basketball team.  Spouse is a graduate of USC-Upstate where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education.  She completed Master’s Degrees at Columbia and Converse Colleges and is currently working on her Doctorate.  

Sprouse served as an assistant basketball coach at Gable Middle School, Dorman High School and Broome as well. During her tenure with BHS, she has been the head coach for JV Basketball, JV Volleyball, and Varsity Track.  

Stated principal Rodney Graves, “We are very excited to have Sally Sprouse as our new Head Girls Basketball coach.  Her experiences and knowledge of basketball will help her take our program to the next level.”  

“We are excited to have Sally Sprouse taking over our Girls’ Basketball program. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about the game of basketball and even more passionate about the student/athletes of Broome High School,” said Skip Frye, athletic director.    
Sprouse teaches social studies at the school, and is very active in student activities outside of sports.
