Ben WaddleBen Waddle has been named head coach of the Broome High School baseball team.  Waddle is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Waddle completed his Master’s Degree in Administration at Furman University.

Coach Waddle has coached at Mauldin, Dorman, Georgetown, Lockhart, Jonesville and Union County high schools. On the college level, he has worked with USC-Spartanburg, Spartanburg Methodist, and Campbell University. Legion ball experience includes Union American Legion Post 22 and Golden Strip American Legion Post 176.  

His overall high school coaching record is 436 wins and 222 losses. Coach Waddle has been awarded Region 1 AAAA Coach of the Year five times, Region II AAAA Coach of the Year five times, AAAA Coach of the Year (South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association - SCBCA) 2001, AAAA Co-Coach of the Year (High School Sports Report - HSSR) 2001, AAAA Coach of the Year (HSSR) 2000, and served as a SCBCA North-South All-Star Assistant Coach in 2002, Head Coach in 2008, and South Carolina Select Team Coach in 2015.
