Say Cheese!
Underclassmen make-up pictures will be made Thursday, September 1, in the auditorium. Students will be called alphabetically, but those who travel off-campus should make arrangements to be photographed at a time that suits their schedules. The photographer will be available from 8:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. and 1 p.m. — 3 p.m. Contact Cassidy Duggins at cduggi@spartanburg3.org  if you have any questions.

Air Force Junior ROTC

Students from the Air Force Junior ROTC program present the Colors at the Spartanburg Friends of the NRA Saturday evening. The NRA is a big supporter of the Broome Air Rifle Team providing equipment and training. Students attending are Nick Hicks, Beverly Kidwell, Cameron Thomas, Mong Thao, Jacyn Revels and MSgt Robert James.

Broome Wins a 2015 Gaston Caperton Opportunity Award

Gettys D. Broome High School in Spartanburg has been named a 2015 Gaston Caperton Opportunity Award school by the College Board for providing underrepresented students with the support they need to succeed academically. Gettys D. Broome is one of one of four high schools nationwide to receive the award in 2015 and will receive a $25,000 award to apply toward programs that encourage more students to attend college.
